The eat well plate

This is the eat well plate and it shows the portion size we should be consuming, with a high amount of fruit and veg and also a large amount of carbohydrates. it also shows that we should only have a small amount of foods that are high in fat such as sweets and chocolate. 
     In reality in the US it is estimated college students eat an average of six to eight fast food meals a week. Many people blame the problem of American obesity on people not knowing what they eat. According to Newsweek, this problem isn't solely for adults because nearly 30 per cent of college students fall into the American medicals association's description of overweight.  (King,2011) 
I will try to use this food template within my work to see how it will look, this may give the viewer an inside on the message i am trying to portray.
