My first shoot- Environment

Here are a few images from my first shoot  at Tilbury power station the very top image was taken on 1/125, ISO 200 and f/5.6. The top photo I feel has better shadows and looks overall nicer, using these setting on my digital camera i made sure that there was no camera shake and because it was a cloudy and rainy day i used ISO 200. I also used a tripod because of strong winds and to make sure the camera was secure. F/5.6 gives a shallow depth of field but in this case having f/5.6 made sure the image was correctly exposed using the light meter in my camera. The lower two images were taken on 1/80, ISO 200 and f/8 and this will make everything in focus, having f/8 instead of f/5.6 should give less light because it is one stop darker but because I changed the shutter speed to 1/80 which gives more light, the bottom images are slightly brighter with more light then the one above. I personally prefer the top image with shadow and slightly darker. Next time i redo this shoot i will consider the weather and how my camera is set depending on the light outside and the time of day. I took my photos between the time of 12.50 and 13.15 when in theory the sun should be at its highest in the sky, should exploring different times of the day would give me great variation within my photographs.
